"Cool Machine": The Envelope Is the Consideration

In Cool Machine, Colson Whitehead's New York is so wildly colorful you almost miss how carefully he's diagramming its machinery of corruption. The Pulitzer Prize winner isn't slumming in the this fast-paced, beautifully written thriller. Highly recommend!
